I’ve been there – the fear beforehand, the stumbling during, and the lows afterwards. Engaging, informing and inspiring others is vital for so much of what we do. Yet it’s also horrible for many of us.
Don’t worry – confident public speaking is a skill, and I’ll be happy to help you grow in it.

I am a qualified coach and an experienced public speaker. I have a science background but have spent the past 20 years having to engage, inspire and inform diverse groups of people – often quite sceptical people! I’ve had to learn a lot about speaking in large settings (my biggest audience was 4,000) and small ones (where spontaneity is vital).
I have been coaching others to connect confidently and effectively with an audience, in person and online, for over a decade now. My average satisfaction score from clients is 4.9 out of 5, and 100% would recommend my service to others.
Good coaching is always tailored to your specific situation and requirements, so no one ‘package’ is the same as others. In general, though, I’ve found it helpful to cover the following areas:
- Leading with why. Ways to ensure you interest and engage the audience.
- Including F.A.B. details. Using a simple checklist for any ‘pitch’.
- Speaking to the ‘back row’. Ensuring what you say and how you present is engaging for even the less-interested.
- Talking top-down and bottom-up. Being ready to adapt your narrative approach.
- Taming PowerPoint. Tips for making the most of your audience’s visual brains without boring them.
- Managing your presence. Simple techniques to increase your impact in the room and on screen.
Our work can be structured in a variety of ways. Most clients find it best to have 3 or 4 short sessions (45 minutes), to include lots of opportunities to practice new approaches and skills.
I’m very happy to be available for last minute calls as well, to help with those difficult minutes before a presentation.
